The signature par 4 14th hole demands precision, with the shoreline lurking along the right and a well-protected green. Durness Golf Club (1988) - 5,495 yards - Par 70 (3 x 9-hole loops from different tees)
Durness Golf Club, a hidden gem located on the stunning northwest coast of Scotland. Established in 1988, this unique nine-hole course offers breathtaking views of the rugged coastline and the Atlantic Ocean. Designed by local enthusiasts and volunteers, Durness Golf Club features natural fairways, challenging bunkers, and fast, sloping greens. Its signature hole is the par 3 9th, where golfers must navigate their shot over a deep ravine to reach the green perched on the edge of the cliff. As a host for our team competition, Durness Golf Club provides North American visitors with a memorable and off-the-beaten-path golfing experience, showcasing the raw beauty of Scotland's remote coastal landscape.
Competition Day 4 - Monday
Brora Golf (1893) - 6,409 yards - Par 71
Brora Golf Club, located along the captivating coastline of the Scottish Highlands in the village of Brora. Established in 1891, this historic links course offers a traditional Scottish golfing experience. Designed by Old Tom Morris and later refined by James Braid, Brora Golf Club features undulating fairways, rugged dunes, and breathtaking views of the North Sea. Its signature hole is the par 4 11th, known as "Lighthouse," which requires a precise tee shot followed by a challenging approach to a green nestled amidst the dunes with the iconic Brora lighthouse in the background.
